The Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi/Community Outreach donates time and materials to the "Heart Gallery of South Texas" project. The college desires to make this an ongoing project opportunity for the Art Department, English Department, Communications Department, Marketing Department, and the Community Outreach Department.
This summer, A&M-CC photography students and technical writing students worked to help the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services launch the Heart Gallery of South Texas, a photo gallery of children looking for permanent, adoptive homes.
The Heart Gallery of South Texas premiered during National Adoption Month in November 2005 at a local art gallery. The exhibit is to travel every 60-90 days to a different location. The photos will be donated to the children's adoptive families.
