States must adopt a “reasonable and prudent parent” standard. This allows foster parents like you to make more daily decisions for children and youth in your care.
Engaging youth is important. Taking part in their case planning gives youth some control over their lives. This makes them more resilient.
CPS must focus on reunifying kids with their parents, relatives, or others close to them, or on adoption when plans for other permanent living arrangements are not an option.
