Entering Persons in the Investigation Stage of IMPACT (PATS 2817)
The item below is revised to clarify how to enter person identification numbers into the Investigation stage in the IMPACT case management system.
If a person is entered into IMPACT incorrectly, the person could be assigned multiple person identification (PID) numbers. Assigning multiple PIDs can result in an incorrect history, which can be difficult and time-consuming to correct.

State Office Notification of Court Orders That Conflict With CPS Policy or Practice (PATS 2872)
When a judge issues an order that appears to conflict with CPS policy or practice, staff must immediately notify the following individuals:
· CPS regional director
· Regional attorney
· CPS state office
The staff person must provide the notification on the same day he or she becomes aware of the order, whether it is pronounced orally from the bench or is in writing.
CPS staff were notified of this policy with the issuance of PSA 06-104 on 7/25/2006.
