Handbook Revision, January 2020
This revision of the Child Protective Services Handbook was published on January 2, 2020.
On September 1, 2017, the investigations branch of CPS became a separate division named Child Protective Investigations (CPI). Until CPI develops its own policy handbook, investigation policies and procedures will remain in the CPS handbook.

Immunization Policy (PATS 12132)
The item below is revised to provide further guidance and clarification to caseworkers regarding objections to immunizations by a parent or a person who has legal authority to make medical decisions for a child.
The impact of this change may mean that more children are identified as not receiving consent for immunizations.
