This revision of the Statewide Intake Policy and Procedures Handbook was published on February 1, 2022. Summaries of new or revised items are provided below.

Day Care and Residential Child Care Investigations and Regulation (PATS 13695)

This handbook revision does the following:

  • Better aligns policy in 8000 Day Care Investigations (DCI) and HHS Day Care Regulation (DCR) and 9000 Residential Child Care Investigations (RCCI) and HHS Residential Child Care Regulation (RCCR).
  • Makes other minor corrections in those chapters.

CPI Screener Eligibility Question (PATS 13568)

This handbook revision clarifies that for school reports the intake specialist must answer the screener question when the report is a Priority 2 and the victim was a child at the time that the alleged abuse or neglect occurred.
