Susie Jockisch is the Interim Chief Audit Officer. She was named to the role in January 2026.

Prior to her appointment to Interim Chief Auditor, Jockisch was the DFPS Internal Audit Assistant Director for more than five years. She was responsible for managing an effective team in all aspects of conducting assurance and advisory engagements designed to add value and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations. Previous roles include management positions at DFPS and at the Texas Department of Public Safety. 

Jockisch has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She began her internal audit career in 2008 and holds the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designations. She is a graduate of the State Agency Internal Audit Forum Internal Audit Leadership Development Program – Cohort VII and is currently a mentor for the Institute of Internal Auditors Emerging Leaders Mentoring Program.
