Natalie Reeves serves as interim associate commissioner for Child Protective Investigations (CPI) at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. She brings more than 25 years of experience working with children and families across juvenile corrections, foster care and adoption, and acute inpatient and residential treatment settings.
Since joining DFPS in 2021 as director of CPI Operations, Reeves has led efforts to strengthen investigative policy and practice, expand the Alternative Response model statewide, and implement key legislative initiatives, including the Texas Family First pilot program. She also established the CPI Quality Assurance division and launched a peer support program to promote workforce well-being.
As a licensed professional counselor-supervisor, Reeves is known for her clinical expertise, collaborative leadership, and commitment to improving outcomes for children and families across Texas.
