Introduction

The Child Watch Support Services Team operates within the DFPS Purchased Client Services (PCS) division. In the event DFPS is unable to secure a placement for youth in DFPS conservatorship; youth are temporarily cared for at a designated DFPS residential leased site until a suitable placement is found. The Child Watch Support Services contract team ensures the necessary contracting services are obtained to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of youth in DFPS conservatorship.

Responsibilities

Child Watch Support Services (CWSS) contract managers are responsible for:

  • Establishing contracts.
  • Managing and monitoring contracts according to the terms of each contract.
  • Supporting caseworkers and other DFPS staff to help resolve performance issues or concerns.
  • Collaborating with Contractors in the provision of quality services.
  • Processing invoices for contracted services.

To monitor contracts, staff conduct on-site or desk review monitoring activities, review supporting documentation, assess compliance with reaching performance measure targets, and document findings relevant to how contractors comply with programmatic and financial requirements.

  • Residential Leasing
  • Janitorial Services
