Appendix 4000-1: Investigation Time Frames

This appendix states the required time frames for completing various actions in an investigation, depending on whether the intake is Priority 1 or Priority 2.

Dates and times below are calculated from the date and time SWI received the intake report.

  • Immediately, if the allegations involve a child’s death or circumstances of serious harm or death requiring immediate intervention, or

Day Care

No later than five business days from contact with the alleged victim or victims
